We use both remote and field techniques to generate geologic maps. We have over 5,500 hours of field mapping experience.
We have experience with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Ontario government, Michigan government, Illinois government, and Indiana government. If you need experienced help, let us know. We have people who are SSHO and QC qualified with USACE. We also have people who are certified UST decommissioners/closure experts.
We offer many courses on on earth science subjects. We believe training is just as important as work. You can't do the work correctly if you don't know what you are doing. We also sell physical training products. We offer specific training school that is accredited and training classes for geotechnical and environmental subjects..
We will tackle just about any geotechnical work needed on a construction whether industrial, commercial, or residential. project. We will not do superfund sites.
We do site restoration after the completion of an environmental or geotechnical project. This is usually done to prepare a property to sell. Please inquire for details.
We have a small and limited geotechnical lab.
We do have P.E.s and P.G.s who can review your reports and sign or write them for you. If you need a technician or sampling events, we can do that for residential or very small commercial properties, involved in real estate transactions. We also will do Phase I and/or Phase II. We have a small trailer mounted rig for limited Phase II's.
We are working on getting set up for emergency response. We currently can handle small clean ups, but as of present we do not provide this service.
We will also tackle other small projects most people won't even bid on since they aren't big money makers. Just ask us and we will see if we can handle it.
Below are some typical rates for some of our services. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BELOW NUMBERS ARE A ROUGH ESTIMATE. In order to get a specific quote, please contact us.
Most Phase I's usually fall between $1,000 to $5,000. Limited Phase I's tend to be cheaper, but usually are not recommended. Complicated industrial sites will be higher..
Phase II's will almost always involve some drilling and lab tested samples. Limited Phase II's can be between $2,500 and $4,000. More complex Phase II's can be between $4,500 and $8,000. More complex and extensive Phase II's will be more.
Drilling is dependent on depth and samples. Generally one soil boring with split spoon sampling down to 20 feet is typically less than $900 per boring. This usually includes basic testing. Things like temporary or permanent wells will cost more. Environmental drilling will also cost a bit more.
Environmental maintenance refers to maintenance done after a cleanup or site closure. This includes property prep for sale i.e. landscaping and demolition of small structures. It also includes well abandonments, fence installation, surveying to locate non obvious physical hazards.
